Every great journey begins with a vision. For Dr. Tarp, that vision came to life in 2019 when he founded  Rock River Animal Clinic. After years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Tarp recognized that the Fort Atkinson community deserved a clinic where not only the animals, but the people who love them, could feel truly cared for. He dreamed of a place where every pet was treated like family, where trust and personalized attention were just as important as expert medical treatment.

Inspired by the bond between pets and their humans, Dr. Tarp built the clinic from the ground up, focusing on warmth, integrity, and approachability. What started as a small neighborhood practice soon earned a reputation for going above and beyond—listening, educating, comforting, and partnering with clients to make the best decisions for their pets’ health and well-being.

In 2025, we were honored to be nominated as the Best Veterinary Clinic in Jefferson County—a testament to our commitment to compassionate care and the meaningful relationships we’ve built with the community we love.
