Originally from Wisconsin, Dr. Tarp grew up in the country surrounded by animals. He spent the majority of his teenage years and young adulthood as a herdsman at a dairy farm and soon came to the conclusion that the science behind animal medicine was the way to go. After graduating from UW-Platteville with his Animal Science Degree, Dr. Tarp focused his studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Tarp graduated with his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 and moved to Blair, WI to start working for a mixed animal practice. In 2015 he moved to Jefferson, WI. Shortly after the move, he had the opportunity to focus his career on small animal medicine. Dr. Tarp enjoys focusing on preventative care and dentistry. He is all about outstanding care and excellent customer service. 

Dr. Tarp now lives in Fort Atkinson with his wife and three wonderful boys. Most recently, the Tarps added Jefferson to the family; a Chesapeake Bay Retriever that they completely adore! When he has spare time between career duties and family life, Dr. Tarp enjoys fishing, hunting, and relaxing with his family.
